Hapgood makes a coherent case for his hypothesis of the shifting of the Earth's crust. Shifting Plates is the accepted hypothesis today. I have read that Einstein said the numbers do not work for Polar shift, this is after being intrigued initially. There remains an incredibly amount of unresolved questions even if one assumes Shifting Plates is correct, such as evidence of past ice sheets all over the world(India, Africa for example). Even if Hapgood is wrong, he raises a lot of interesting points.
